Special Science Day - 13th March 2020
Sherbourne Fields School - Special Science Day 2020
Our whole school science day on Friday 13th March and has been organised to mark the grand opening of our state-of-the-art new science lab. The science lab has been completely refurbished and specially designed to meet the needs of all of our pupils regardless of their needs.
The new room features a graphics wall, a demonstration area, a high-resolution microscope with a large projection screen and wipeable working walls. The addition of this specialist room will really benefit all of our pupils and let us bring Science to life to engage them in the world around them.
The refurbishment project has extended to the area outside of our lab where we have a large, wheelchair accessible path leading out into our orchard. Extra planting areas are being built to enable us to teach all aspects of plant care and a native hedge is being planted to encourage wildlife to build homes.
The science day will begin with a whole school science show from Shooting Stars Circus Science. This will then be followed with a mixture of science workshops and mini science projects in classes.
In the afternoon, there will be a science fair in the hall to judge and award prizes for the best science projects. We will also have table top experiments hosted by the University of Warwick Outreach programme.
The day will be an exciting experience for all and will promote a love for all things Science to our amazing pupils!
Photos and Videos will be shared throughout the day.
