Day Three - Reflection
Reflection of our fantastic achievements.
Wednesday was a later start to allow us to catch up on some much needed sleep.
We all woke to aching muscles and stiff joints. Staff moreso than students!
A later breakfast followed by a light walk around the local coastal path here in Annalong. A lovely breezy walk blew away the cobwebs and allowed us some time to take in the scenery and fresh sea air.
After a spot of lunch back at Cornmill Quay, we headed back into Newcastle again. We spent a bit of time in one of the arcades. This allowed the students to let off a bit of steam, as well as bond in a different light.
We then walked around Newcastle, taking some new routes through the town, and enjoying some of the tourist areas along the sea front.
We then headed back to Cornmill Quay for our evening meal.
Another evening of playing pool and singing ensued. The group have gelled together so well and all of the students really have become a tight knit bunch. Its delightful to see them really enjoying themselves. They are all so proud of what they have achieved - and rightly so. We all are too!
The evening really was a chance to reflect on this special trip, and outstanding achievement by everyone. Talk of the next challenges whet our appetites for another chance next time to show just what this incredible bunch of students are really capable of with the right support from the brilliant staff group, and the leadership of Mark Wood to gel it all together.
All that is left is to pack our bags ready for the return journey back to school for Thursday evening.
