Our first day of the Sherbourne Challenge 2017
We arrived on Northern Irish soil at 12.20pm, to some fair weather and sunshine.
We drove to Cornmill Quay in Annalong, where we will be staying for our time here.
After unpacking and settling in, we went to visit Newcastle, our local seaside town. We stopped at the cafe for drinks and had a good look at the mountain as we walked. The high street had great views of the mountain and the route, which we will be walking tomorrow. It was looking beautiful!
Unfortunately, we seemed to bring the wet weather with us, as rain set in during our trip out.
We got back to Cornmill Quay to have a cooked meal, then we all packed our rucksacks, ready for the task ahead!!
A spot of pool with the boys before we head to bed to get some sleep ready for our early start.
Stay tuned tomorrow for some more updates, either on our blog, or during our climb on facebook or twitter, signal dependant!
So… it’s so far so good, as we embark on our epic 5th peak with this fabulous group of determined staff and students.
