Full-time Property and Site Manager required

Grade 4 (£18, 672 – £21, 693 per annum)

Overtime opportunities available

We are looking to recruit a full-time Property & Site Manager for our ‘Outstanding’ special school in the heart of Coundon, Coventry, offering a recently modernised 3 bedroom bungalow with accompanying large garden at a peppercorn rent.

You will be enthusiastic and proud to be part of our ‘outstanding’ school team. Passionate about property, DIY and gardening you will be a self-motivated individual who enjoys working independently and as part of a bigger team. You will have a critical eye and be able to recognise and plan for building maintenance projects all year round - ensuring minimum disruption to the school day. You will be flexible, and in return, we will reciprocate that flexibility.

You will have sound knowledge of Health and Safety and be prepared to participate fully in regular Health and Safety inspections as an active member of the Health and Safety Committee. You will also be prepared to undertake a number of Health and Safety training courses periodically - ensuring all statutory Health and Safety records are kept up to date and in order.

The role of Property and Site Manager is diverse and includes painting and decorating, garden maintenance, day to day maintenance repairs such as basic plumbing, changing lightbulbs and taking deliveries, to bigger and more exciting projects such as the planning and execution of major classroom refurbishments (along with the Headteacher and School Business Manager), and managing contractors on site.

Sherbourne Fields is a very special ‘Special School’, and as such requires someone who is committed to embracing the schools ethos and culture - working to improve and enhance the educational experience for all our pupils. Coupled with this, your positive can do attitude and willingness to go the extra mile will make you stand out from the rest.

Sherbourne Fields is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  A Full enhanced DBS check will be carried out for this post.
