On Monday 27th April the whole school took part in Numeracy Day which this year specifically focused on calculations. Numeracy Day is an opportunity for students to take part in everyday fun activities which involve maths. During the morning all pupils took part in a carousel of activities including; weighing out ingredients for cooking, capacity, using money in a pretend café and shop, listening to a maths sensory story, a treasure hunt, timed activities, forest schools and height. In the afternoon the students took part in the ‘The Price is Right’ in mixed teams from across the school. Students had to guess as close to the answer as possible in order to move into the higher and lower round to win points. This was lots of fun and everybody had a brilliant time. This year we had five teams who were the winners; teams won a selection of maths prizes.
