Sherbourne Fields celebrate Sport Relief 2014

Sherbourne took  part in raising money for Sport Relief on Friday March 21st and raised £117.68 in total.

All students were off timetable and had the fantastic opportunity to try some new and exciting sports activities on and off site throughout the day.

The range of activities that they were able to take part in were swimming, archery, multi-sports, tac pac, rebound therapy, rambling, golf, street dance, cookery and making fruit kebabs and smoothies.

I would like to thank Rob Challis for allowing 40 students to attend a golf taster session at Johnny Reay Golf Range also Warren Glenn for a whole day of amazing funky Street dance and Terry McCarthy for loaning us the equipment and setting up a multi-gym in school.         Also many thanks to all the staff and volunteers that helped to make this an amazing day.

Sport Relief really helped each child to try something different, learn new skills, challenge them to work as part of a team and encouraged them to think of others; but most of all it gave them the opportunity to boost their self-confidence.
