Sherbourne Fields School

1 Week to go!

Please enter an introduction for your blog post here

We are now into our final week before we depart on our historic adventure to Northern Ireland.

Last week, we did a practice hike around Ilmington, on the Warwickshire border, up and down some fairly steep hills, which was great practoce for next week.

The kits are in the process of being packed, plans are well in hand and its just a matter of waiting now, until Monday morning when we fly from Birmingham.

We hope to climb on Tuesday all being well. The walk should take us around 6 hours to complete, upon which i'm sure we will have hit the peak and be truly the conquerers of all 5 peaks in Great Britain, Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Wednseday should be a day of reflection, where we hope to see some of the magical sites Northern Ireland has to offer.

Its due to be a wet week, but i'm sure even the rain of N.I couldnt dampen the spirits of our brilliant students, amazing staff and the fabulous Mark Wood!

We will return home on Thursday, victorious!

We are not the only group doing a challenge, as on Tuesday, the rest of the school will also be doing challenges of their own, so it should be an awesome day all round!

We have also recently been on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire radio to talk about the challenges, and promote the great work the school does, and that these youngsters continue to amaze us and are capable of a great many things!

Please have a listen via the Facebook video below.

We willl try and keep the blog updated as we are there, as well as Tweeting and Facebook updates during the climb! We may even try some Live streaming - signal allowing..
